The context

D’bebé is a Mexican baby product company founded in 1973. They became one of the two leading companies in their vertical until the global market entered the market. Like many businesses at the time, they struggled to keep up with the competition and had to scale back the business and move the production to China. On their glory days, they had around 500 employees, and nowadays, they only have 18.
D’bebé had a website – digital catalog until 2018. They didn’t care about the website since their sales came from the largest retail stores in Mexico, such as Walmart, Coppel, Soriana. They decided to pull the trigger and modernize their identity and start selling their products online.

The solution

I lead a small team of 4 people to develop their site. We developed a fast, simple, easy to maintain, and mobile-first website. Around 85% of the visitors come from mobile. Most of their audience have phones as their primary source to the internet.
